Policies

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

An instructor is in the water or on the step beside every swimmer, and the pool's lifeguard is on duty during class. The number of swimmers each instructor has in every level is on our safety page. Lessons are no substitute for care in the water, so please swim only when a lifeguard is on duty and never alone.

Wear what you are comfortable swimming in. A swimsuit, a long-sleeved swim top, swim leggings or a swim head covering are all welcome in every class. Tie long hair back or wear a cap, bring a towel, and bring goggles if you like. We provide boards, noodles and belts.

Please stay home with a fever, a stomach bug or anything that spreads, and tell us so we can offer a make-up class. Tell your instructor at your first class what helps, and we will plan around it.

We text members when the pool closes for weather, repairs or a college holiday. A class missed because the pool was closed is made up in the same session.

We ask for a week's notice before the next month begins. Tell us by phone or by text.

Please keep phones away from the water's edge. Photos and video are not allowed on the deck, and never in women's sessions.

Class time is for swimmers. Friends and family wait in the lobby, and no one watches from the deck during women's sessions.
