Your first class

What happens at a first class

There is no test to pass. A first class is a short visit to the water so we know where to start.

  1. Step 1: Book a class

Choose a women's or a mixed class on our enrollment page, or call us and we will help you choose.

  2. Step 2: Arrive and meet your instructor

Come a little early to sign in and change. Your instructor says hello at the rail and asks what would help.

  3. Step 3: A short level check

In the shallow end, with your instructor beside you, you try a few things: standing at the rail, getting your face wet, floating with support. You can stop at any point.

  4. Step 4: Where to start

Your instructor suggests a level and a class, and you decide whether to join. Nothing is decided for you.

A towel, and anything that helps

Wear a swimsuit, a long-sleeved swim top or a swim head covering, whichever you like. Bring a towel, and goggles or a cap if you have them. We have boards, noodles and belts, and a place to leave your things.
